Aaron ‘PharCyde’ Butler started his gaming carrier on the community side back in 1999 when he was hired on at GameSpy Ind. as a Web Designer. After leaving GameSpy in 2001 he went to school at the Art Institute of California Los Angeles where he graduated in June of 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Game Art & Design.

However, before graduating, in 2002 Aaron got his first game development gig as a Production Intern at Infogrames (now Atari) in Santa Monica, CA working on Unreal Tournament 2k3 and Mission Impossible: Operation Surma. At the start of 2003 Aaron was hired on at Black Ops Entertainment as a Game Designer working on Terminator3: Rise of the Machines.

At the start of 2004 Aaron left Black Ops for Climax Group Inc.’s first US office as a Game / Level Designer working on Tron 2.0 Killer App. At the end of the Tron 2.0:K.A. production Electronic Arts LA recruited Aaron as a Game Designer for Medal of Honor: European Assault.

After MoH:EA finished Aaron left EA-LA and the United States and moved to Amsterdam, The Netherlands to work at Guerrilla Games as a Designer on Killzone2 for the PlayStation 3.
