Fallout 3 Editor released – Get your G.E.C.K. on!

Bethesda has released the Fallout 3 tool set allowing users to create their own content! From levels, to story, to quests. How cool, I had no idea they were going to do this. Now I have a reason to pick up a copy of Fallout 3 for the PC while I’m here in LA!

Adventures in 3D modeling: M1A1 Abrams

Finally starting to model again, last time I really modeled anything was back in college sadly. Below is a current render of one of the various models I’m working on, mostly for practice. It’s been a lot of fun so far and I’m really happy with the progress, though the treds are a little [...]

Incredible Creations with Little Big Planet

The options available to the end user via the level design tool set of Little Big Planet, currently in Beta as of this writing, is yielding some amazing creations. 1up has a bunch of videos but two that have really made me go, “Holy shit…” are the ones I’ve posted below. The first is [...]

Two things I need Chrome to do before I switch over.

Google’s open source web browser, Chrome, is neato and all, but two things are missing that are kill’n it for me.

1. Foxmarks or something like it gets released so I can keep my bookmarks organized across multiple computers. Seriously, this kind of thing should be standard now!

2. Having my bookmarks in a [...]

Fucking awesome.

Spotted on boingboing, linking to Patrick Macias’s blog, a bunch of behind the scenes photographs from various Godzilla movie sets. Very cool. I love me some Godzilla and I recently rediscovered all the DVDs I have. Time to bust out the popcorn.

One of the most recognized voice over actors recently passed away, on my birthday no less, Don LaFontaine. Most people would recognize the voice from movie tailors and lines such as “In a world…”.

One of the cool things about Mr. LaFontaine was his ego never got as big as his career. He had [...]

New Canon 5D + 50mm f1.4! Woot!

Last week I sold my Pentax kit (K10D w/ Tamron 18-250mm) and picked up a Canon 5D body and the following day picked up a Canon 50mm f1.4 lens. I can’t be more happy with this new setup! The quality of my photographs has gone up as I had hopped and I’m finally able [...]

Captain Benny

As I rode up to the corner of Paleisstraat and Rokin, with Madam Tussauds on the right, I glance over and notice Benny Hill staring at me, with his signature smile and sudo-military salute. I salute Benny in polite return and as the light turns green I ride on, with a little more confidence [...]
