ROLE: Senior UX Designer (Contract)
RESPONSIBILITIES: UX, UI, Ideation and Interaction Design
WHAT: Unannounced Mobile Application
WHEN: AUG 2019 - OCT 2019
At the moment I am not able to show or talk about any specifics related to this project due to NDAs. Until that changes the information found on this page will be a generalized version of what responsibilities on the project.
Research / Strategy
Starting out I assisted the strategy team in researching the client’s area of interest as well as the previously conducted research they sent over. We investigated existing products, the wants and needs of the demographic and many other aspects to ensure we started with a educated understanding of the clients goals.
Ideation
Eventually I traveled with and assisted the SI leadership team in conducting a two day Design Thinking and ideation session with the client. This experience helped solidify the client’s intention and helped to generate an actionable solution.
Once the two day session wrapped up I was able to create a hand drawn high level solution that we then put in front of a focus group the next day in order to get initial feedback and reactions that helped validate the solution.
Wireframes & Prototyping
After we got back to Seattle I started the process of creating a prototype based on the findings from the Design Thinking workshop. For the rest of the project I would review the prototype with the client every other day to ensure their thoughts and feedback were taking into consideration and to keep them in the loop to ensure what was going to be put in front .
The end result was a thorough interactive prototype I created in Figma, run on an iPhone during IDI testing with users from the intended demographic. The prototype was well received and the results helped prove and support the client’s idea.
Other Work
Along with the above responsibilities I also helped the SI team create a successful three minute internal marketing video for the client. The video was created in After Effects and used video footage from the focus group and IDI sessions. This video was to be used to get further support and funding for the project.
