Overview

Hard-surface practice on a car that fights back

First attempt modeling a vehicle. It's been a lot of fun, rewarding and also a great way to improve topology.
The McLaren Senna GTR is close to a worst case for hard-surface modeling: almost none of it is flat, the panels meet at angles that change along their length, and the aero has holes cut through it. That's exactly why it's worth modeling. Curvature that continues cleanly across a panel break is the whole difficulty, and it's obvious when it fails.
The two passes below show a shaded render for form and a wireframe render to preview the topology.
Shaded viewport pass, per-object colors.

Outcome

Where it is now

In progress. Most of the outer body is modeled; materials are still the default clay, which is why the interactive model below reads as a single color rather than paint and carbon.
